There has been a “significant crackdown” on corrupt and unethical practices at licensing offices, including the purchasing of driver’s permits without procedure, says Works and Transport Minister Rohan Sinanan.

Sinanan said there have been instances where people can get their licence without even going to the office, and people paying for special registration numbers and immediate certified copies, and all of this is being curbed through technology and a change in the process.
